1. Pull out a copy of your phone bill, and see where you call the most. Maybe it is in state, maybe out of state. This is where you will want to target your savings. You can find your best rate on the rate chart.

2. Compare the rates in the Rate Chart and Best Rate Calculator. This should give you a good indication of which plans fit your needs best. The calculator will let you put in your phone number, number of minutes used, and the place you call the most. It will give you a comprehensive breakdown of the different plans (including a sample phone bill).

3. Once you find a few plans, look for hidden fees. Most of the big companies will charge you a fee to get a good rate. If you are paying a fee to get a lower rate, than it's not really lower. Make sure to add in any fees when you figure your plan. Our calculator will do this for you.
